| Details of Game #13: Apr 28, 2012 |
The Gators from St. Pauls came to town and left on the short end 16-8 to your Moorestown Quakers.
Moorestown ran out to a convincing 8-0 lead and had possession twice more to extend that lead. Then, in less than a minute they gave three goals back to SPSG but managed to take a 9-3 halftime lead.
Moorestown had a total of 35 shots on goal but lost draw control 13-12..... still they dominated play today and were close to making this a rout. St. Pauls had a hard time transitioning the ball thru midfield against Moorestown's relentless defense. Marie McCool had seven goals to go along with her four ground balls and was followed by Steph Toy's five goals and hustle thruout the field. Mary Flick was huge on draw control with four and had her best game. Frankie Angeleri continues to be solid on defense and draw control with three.
Moorestown's defense was stout led by Marissa Randazzo's three ground balls. Outside of several free position shots, St. Pauls never got any clean shots on goal thruout the entire game.
Moorestown played again without senior stallwart Lindsay Goldblatt. We wish Lindsay a swift and healthy return.
